The Problem
uRisk were contacted to help improve legionella control and management for a local council in London. uRisk were contacted to provide a suitable legionella control and management programme that would be sufficient for the customer with considerable budget restraints.
Our Findings
uRisk discovered that the current legionella control and management regime was significantly non-compliant. Legionella risk assessments had been undertaken, but no remedial actions were complete, nor were there any monitoring tasks being completed.
The Solution
Legionella Remedial Works
The legionella remedial works were scheduled in periodically throughout the year to work with the customers budgets, with an approach that ensured the highest risk items were remediated as a priority.
Legionella Sampling
Ongoing legionella sampling was implemented to continue to monitor the water system management whilst the risks were outstanding.
Water Logbook and Monitoring Implemented
Ongoing monitoring training was provided so that the customer could complete most tasks in-house to keep costs down. Where uRisk provided more specialist legionella monitoring tasks six monthly and annually.
