Turbidity Analysis
Turbidity measures the amount of particles in the water. Tap water is clear because it has very few particles in it, giving it a low turbidity. The higher the turbidity, the more opaque and cloudy the water becomes.
While high turbidity is obvious to the naked eye, lower levels that indicate the presence of bacteria or particulates might not be. Turbidity analysis of seemingly clear water could show the presence of suspended solids that need further investigation.

Step 2 - Fill Sample Bottle
Fill the water sample bottle(s) from your taps following the instructions.
Step 3 - FREE Return Delivery
Drop off your FREE return package to any local Post Office on the same day you have taken your sample.
Step 4 - Get your Results
Your sample results are tested in a UKAS approve laboratory and sent to you in PDF format in 10-14 days.

What are the causes of turbidity?
Anything that causes pollutants, particles, sediment, algae and waste to enter the water will cause turbidity. This includes storm runoff, erosion, leaves, animal waste, sewage discharge and chemical discharge. Disturbing the sediment from the river bed will affect the turbidity of rivers, streams and lakes such as dredging or animals or humans walking in the water.
